Outsourcing Considerations, Resources and Information

Lorenc Group International has a wealth of experience in business process outsourcing. Outsourcing can take a number of different forms and directions. Any firm or institution that employs large numbers of people performing similar or like tasks can potentially benefit from outsourcing. While outsourcing is typically thought of as sending US jobs offshore, that is only one of many outsourcing opportunities. Many firms in the United States outsource to other local, regional or national firms that specialize in the services required.

The outsourcing functions that have become accepted and can be established in a relatively straightforward manner depending on the size of project include medical claim process outsourcing, customer service outsourcing, software development outsourcing, telemarketing outsourcing, human resource outsourcing, payroll processing outsourcing and training outsourcing.

Offshore outsourcing can be accomplished in a number of ways. Depending on the size of project and management philosophy, some firms elect to establish offshore outsourcing by establishing legal entities in the country of choice and have all individuals hired become employees of the parent firm. Alternatively and more common are establishing one or more offshore providers skilled in the business functions being outsourced and with experience and depth to provide outstanding results.

Typical benefits derived from business process outsourcing include significantly reduced labor costs, improved customer service, improved quality control and reduced business disruption. Benefits do have potential offsetting risks including labor slowdowns, labor strikes, supervision, network outages etc.

Before embarking on any outsourcing project, be sure to have the experienced resources required to plan, develop and implement. Many mistakes have been made and continue to be made by those firms lacking the experience necessary to implement for success.
